Appliqué Badges: The Smart Hybrid Embroidery Solution

Minimise Stitch Counts. Maximise Detail. Multiply Your Profits.

Standard embroidery has its limits, with high stitch counts leading to garment puckering, long machine run-times, and lost revenue. Our Hybrid Appliqué Badges revolutionise the process by merging the high-definition detail of printed woven badges with the premium texture of traditional embroidery.

By utilising our badges as your base, you can achieve complex gradients and fine details that are physically impossible with thread alone, all while drastically reducing your production time.

Why Switch to Our Hybrid Appliqué System?

  • Drastic Cost Savings: Reducing your stitch count means less thread consumption and faster machine rotations.
  • Superior Definition: Capture photorealistic details, small text, and colour gradients that traditional embroidery cannot replicate.
  • Garment Integrity: Fewer stitches mean less "pull" on the fabric, virtually eliminating puckering and damage to delicate or lightweight performance materials.
  • Increased Throughput: Ship more orders in less time by letting the badge do the heavy lifting.

Frequently Asked Questions

On average, our clients see a 50% to 70% reduction in machine run-time. For example, a design that typically requires 30,000 stitches can often be reduced to 8,000 stitches using our hybrid badge system.

Our digitized DST files include specific "placement" and "tack-down" commands. Your machine will first stitch a light outline to show you where to place the badge. Once the badge is positioned, the file continues with a finishing stitch (such as a satin or bean stitch) to secure it permanently to the garment.

Yes. Because the hybrid method significantly reduces needle penetration and "thread density," it is actually safer for delicate or stretchy fabrics (like performance polyester or thin tri-blends) that typically pucker under high-stitch-count designs.

Our DST files are the industry standard and are compatible with all major commercial embroidery brands, including Tajima, Barudan, Brother, Happy, and Melco. If you require a different file format (such as PES or EXP), just let us know.

No special equipment is required. You can use your standard #60 or #75 needles and your preferred polyester or rayon threads. The printed woven badge provides the color "fill," so you only need thread for the structural and decorative stitching.

Our printed woven badges are industrial-grade. They are fade-resistant and designed to withstand repeated commercial laundering, maintaining their vibrant color and edge integrity for the life of the garment.

When you upload your file, you can specify your preference for the finishing stitch. Whether you want a classic thick satin border or a subtle zig-zag, our digitizers will set up the DST file to match your brand’s aesthetic.

We cater to both small boutique runs and high-volume industrial orders.  Our minimum starts at just 10 units
